Preparatory work is currently underway
Total Investment:
500 million yuan
Expected to Attract Investment:
500 million yuan
Content and Scale:
【Construction Scale and Content】With proven reserves of 10 million tons of calcite, the project plans to occupy 50 mu (approximately 3.3 hectares) of land. A modern processing production base will be constructed, including standardized production workshops, raw material storage, finished goods warehouses, a research and testing center, office buildings, and supporting facilities such as power supply systems (with substations), water supply systems, circulating water systems, compressed air systems, and environmental protection treatment equipment. The facility will enable high-quality deep processing of calcite, with an annual output capacity of 500,000 tons of refined calcite products. 【Rationale and Conditions for Construction】Leveraging Liancheng County’s abundant and high-quality calcite resources, this project capitalizes on significant resource advantages and aligns with regional development goals for calcium-based new materials and circular economy industries. By constructing standardized production, warehousing, and R&D office facilities, along with complete utility systems—including power supply, recycled water, and environmental control—the project aims to establish a 500,000-ton-per-year calcite deep-processing production line. This will effectively transform the current status of low-value, coarse mineral processing, promoting high-end and refined utilization of mineral resources. The project site offers excellent location conditions, comprehensive supporting infrastructure, and environmentally friendly processes, enabling it to meet downstream market demands in construction materials, coatings, plastics, and other sectors. It will help strengthen the county's non-metallic new materials industrial chain, improve overall resource utilization efficiency, stimulate local employment and tax revenue, and deliver strong economic, social, and ecological benefits. Therefore, the project is both necessary and feasible.

New Materials

The development of Fujian's new materials industry is accelerating, with increasing industrial clustering effects, gradual improvement of the innovation system, and continuous enrichment of new material varieties. A group of leading backbone enterprises has been cultivated, including CATL, San'an Optoelectronics, Wanhua Chemical (Fujian), Xiamen Tungsten, Fuyao Glass, Tsingshan Group, Zijin Mining Group, Highsun Group, and Eversun Group. Leveraging the driving role of these leading enterprises, Fujian has established a number of distinctive new materials clusters with certain influence domestically and internationally, focusing on optoelectronic information materials, advanced chemical materials, new energy materials, advanced non-ferrous metal materials, rare earth new materials, stainless steel, and advanced textile functional materials. 4 industrial clusters have been selected as national-level characteristic clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises: the Fuzhou Changle Textile New Materials Cluster, the Shaowu Fluorine New Materials Cluster, the Jinjiang Sports Shoes Raw and Auxiliary Materials Cluster, and the Wuping Display Module and Material Manufacturing Cluster. The Ningde Wanwu Stainless Steel Industrial Park has been recognized as a national-level new industrialization demonstration base.
