Food Industry

In 2024, Fujian's food industry enterprises above the designated size achieved a total revenue of RMB 502.814 billion and a total profit of RMB 32.966 billion. Our province has established a comprehensive industrial system covering agricultural product processing, snack food manufacturing, alcoholic beverage and refined tea production, and tobacco products. Three major food industry clusters in Fuzhou, Zhangzhou, and Quanzhou each surpassed RMB 100 billion in output value.

Modern Services Industry

In the first three quarters of 2024, Fujian Province's services sector maintained steady growth, accounting for over half of the regional economy. The revenue of service enterprises above the designated size showed strong expansion, with robust support for key industries. The added value of our province's services sector reached RMB 2,026.768 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%, representing 50.4% of the regional GDP. In the first three quarters, 8,390 service enterprises above the designated size achieved a total operating revenue of RMB 735.36 billion, up 11.6% year-on-year, 4.4 percentage points higher than the national average and ranking first in China. Key industries played a prominent role, generating RMB 483.98 billion in revenue, a 19.4% increase, 9.5 percentage points above the national average, and also ranking first nationwide. Their contribution to the revenue growth of service enterprises above the designated size reached 103.2%.

Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Industry

In 2024, Fujian Province had 4,866 machinery equipment enterprises above the designated size, with industrial added value growing by 4.6% year-on-year and operating revenue reaching RMB 1,187.15 billion, a 1.8% increase year-on-year.

Electronic Information Industry

In 2024, the added value of Fujian's electronic information manufacturing industry above the designated scale grew by 1.8% year-on-year, generating revenue of RMB 940.4 billion, securing the 7th position nationwide. The integrated circuits, optoelectronics, and lithium-ion battery industrial clusters each exceed RMB 200 billion in scale. Our province hosts 5 national new-type industrialization demonstration bases for the electronic information industry, including Xiamen Torch High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Fuqing Rongqiao Economic & Technological Development Zone, Fuzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone, Yunxiao Yunling Development Zone, and Putian High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

New Energy Industry

Fujian leverages its resource advantages to vigorously develop new and renewable energy, focusing on building a key energy base along the southeast coast and establishing a modern energy system that balances energy development with ecological conservation. By the end of 2023, clean energy accounted for 63% of the total installed capacity, meaning nearly one out of every two kilowatt-hours of electricity was generated from clean sources. Fujian ranks third in China for offshore wind power capacity, and the Fujian Three Gorges Wind Power International Industrial Park became the country’s first industrial zone to achieve carbon neutrality. Key industrial parks include: Fuqing Jiangyin Economic Development Zone, Zhangzhou Gulei Port Economic Development Zone, Quanzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, SDIC Meizhou Bay Economic Development Zone, etc.

Metallurgical Industry

In 2024, Fujian Province had 502 metallurgical enterprises above the designated size, generating operating revenue of RMB 759.32 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%. Our province’s key metallurgical products hold significant positions in the domestic market, with its stainless steel and tungsten processed materials ranking first in national production. Among these, stainless steel output reached approximately 10 million tons in 2024, accounting for about 30% of the country’s total, while tungsten wires for lighting held a 70% market share. And Fujian ranks among the top three nationally in lithium battery cathode materials.

Building Materials Industry

In 2024, Fujian Province had 2386 building materials enterprises above the designated size, generating operating revenue of RMB 417.44 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6%. The layout of the building materials industry across our province has been continuously optimized, forming multiple specialized and distinctive industrial clusters with significant scale. Among them, the stone segment has developed the Nan'an Stone Industry Cluster, the architectural and sanitary ceramics segment has established the Quanzhou Architectural and Sanitary Ceramics Cluster, the cement segment has formed cement clinker production bases in Longyan and Sanming, and the flat glass segment has built industrial bases in Fuzhou and Zhangzhou.
