The project is planned to be located in the Shuangyue Zone. In view of the characteristics of Fuding sea areas B-1 (water depth 48-54 m) and B-2 (water depth 23-31 m), it will develop and manufacture specialized equipment such as large-tonnage floating crane vessels and deep-sea jacket installation platforms to meet the construction needs of deep and far-sea wind power. Modular offshore construction kits integrating pile driving, hoisting and welding functions will be developed to adapt to different water depths and geological conditions.

Advanced Equipment Manufacturing

In 2025, Fujian Province had 4,975 above-designated-size machinery and equipment enterprises. The year-on-year growth in industrial value-added was 12.9%, achieving an operating revenue of RMB 1,251.44 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%. The advanced equipment manufacturing cluster possesses a number of advantageous specialty products and industries. It is a national hub for major engineering machinery manufacturing, large and medium-sized bus manufacturing, large commercial aircraft maintenance, shipbuilding and repair, and small and medium-sized motor manufacturing. Fujian's electric vessel sector, with advantages such as a complete industry chain, core equipment market share exceeding 40%, and a leading number of built and under-construction certified electric vessels nationwide, has established multi-dimensional leadership in policy, technology, and application scenarios. Fujian is a pioneering province for the green and intelligent development of coastal and inland vessels in China. Leading enterprises include Southeast Chery, SAIC Motor (Ningde), Xiamen King Long, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group, and Fujian Mercedes-Benz.

New Energy

Fujian leverages its resource advantages to vigorously develop new energy and renewable energy, focusing on building a significant energy base along the southeastern coast and constructing a diversified clean energy supply system of “hydro, nuclear, wind, solar, gas, and storage.” By the end of 2025, installed capacity for offshore wind power reached 3.83 million kilowatts, with wind energy utilization hours ranking first nationwide for 12 consecutive years. As of the end of 2025, Fujian's power generation installed capacity exceeded 100 million kilowatts for the first time, reaching 100.49 million kilowatts. The proportion of clean energy installed capacity and generation in Fujian reached 65.8% and 57.5%, respectively, both ranking first in East China. Renewable energy has long maintained full consumption. The Fujian Three Gorges Wind Power International Industrial Park became the first industrial park in China to achieve “carbon neutrality.”
