The project is located at Yuanhong Functional Zone of Fuzhou New Area. It plans to introduce an ecological chain of food storage and transportation, processing, displaying, experience, trading, and settlement industries. By building a bulk food supply chain of "one fish, one piece of meat, one fruit, one bag of rice, and one barrel of oil", it will create a "professional, innovative, green, and open" global food high-end park, pilot reform on food industry supply side, food free trade pilot zone, and state import-export food safety demonstration base, striving to become a global food displaying and trading hub. The investment intensity of the project will not be less than 3 million Yuan/Chinese acre, and the average tax per Chinese acre will not be less than 100000 Yuan/Chinese acre.

In 2025, Fujian Province had 2,548 above-designated-size food industry enterprises, achieving an operating revenue of RMB 416.603 billion. A relatively complete industrial system has been cultivated, encompassing agricultural and sideline food processing, snack food manufacturing, and the manufacturing of alcoholic beverages and refined tea. Several distinctive industries, such as fruit and vegetable processing, baked goods, candy, canned food, refined tea manufacturing, and edible fungi, hold leading positions nationwide. Anxi Tieguanyin tea and Wuyi Rock Tea have been selected for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's first batch of key cultivation list.
