The project requires a planned land area of approximately 50 acres for construction scale and content. On the basis of the porous carbon production project, this project extends the product and further processes and produces silicon carbon negative electrode materials, which can reach a production capacity of 10000 tons of negative electrode materials. The explosive growth of the global new energy vehicle and energy storage industry has driven the continuous increase in demand for lithium battery negative electrode materials. Silicon carbon negative electrode material, with its high specific capacity (2-3 times that of graphite negative electrode) performance advantage, has become the core material of the next generation of lithium batteries, and the market size is expected to grow at an annual rate of over 30%. This project aims at the high-end negative electrode material track, which can fill the production capacity gap of key new energy materials in the region and seize the opportunity for industry development. Based on the existing porous carbon production project in Longyan Biological Fine Chemical Industry Park, the production of silicon carbon negative electrode materials will be extended downstream to achieve a closed-loop industrial chain of "porous carbon → silicon carbon negative electrode". Upgrading the original basic materials into high value-added lithium battery core components can increase the product's added value by more than twice, effectively improving the profitability of enterprises and enhancing the overall competitiveness of the industrial chain.

The development of Fujian's new materials industry is accelerating, with increasing industrial clustering effects, gradual improvement of the innovation system, and continuous enrichment of new material varieties. A group of leading backbone enterprises has been cultivated, including CATL, San'an Optoelectronics, Wanhua Chemical (Fujian), Xiamen Tungsten, Fuyao Glass, Tsingshan Group, Zijin Mining Group, Highsun Group, and Eversun Group. Leveraging the driving role of these leading enterprises, Fujian has established a number of distinctive new materials clusters with certain influence domestically and internationally, focusing on optoelectronic information materials, advanced chemical materials, new energy materials, advanced non-ferrous metal materials, rare earth new materials, stainless steel, and advanced textile functional materials. 4 industrial clusters have been selected as national-level characteristic clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises: the Fuzhou Changle Textile New Materials Cluster, the Shaowu Fluorine New Materials Cluster, the Jinjiang Sports Shoes Raw and Auxiliary Materials Cluster, and the Wuping Display Module and Material Manufacturing Cluster. The Ningde Wanwu Stainless Steel Industrial Park has been recognized as a national-level new industrialization demonstration base.
