Recently, Fujian New Energy Automobile Industry Technology and Project Matchmaking Conference was held in Fuqing city. It was jointly organized by the Economic & Information Commission of Fujian Province, Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Fujian Provincial Science & Technology Department, Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch, Research Institute on the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits, Chinese Academy of Sciences, more than 50 experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences system, and about 300 participants including experts and scholars from research institutes and schools in Fujian and domestic, and representatives of related enterprises.

Sun Jiangming, the deputy director of R&D Center of Electric Vehicle, Chinese Academy of Sciences made the keynote lecture on the Development of New Energy Automobile at the meeting, the latest technology of relevant research field was promoted by 6 experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences. The signing ceremony between Research Institute on the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits and Fuqing City Government, and Fujian Guanchengruimin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd, was held at the same time, meanwhile, the opening ceremony of New Energy Materials and Component Joint Laboratory, which jointly built by Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fujian Guanchengruimin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd, was successfully launched. 

It is understood that 88 achievement and patents of scientific research institution in Fujian and domestic has been introduced, and 60 technical requirements from Fujian New Energy Vehicle enterprises has been released in the meeting. On the basis of pre-matchmaking, the deepen negotiation among experts and enterprises was actively conducted, particularly more than 30 intention projects in the fields of New Energy Vehicle, Electric Control, Battery, Key Materials and etc., has been achieved. 

Until now, there are 7 new energy automobile production enterprises and 1 special vehicles in Fujian, with 150,000 new energy vehicles, covering new energy automobile production in all categories, which not only have CATL, Xiamen Tungsten Co., Ltd., and etc. enterprises that achieve the advanced level in domestic and international, and also Fujian has a number of advantages in the field of industrial chain, including Shanshan Tech, Putian Jiatong, Xiamen ZhengXin, Zhangzhou Zhengxing Wheel, Fuyao Glass and other auto components leading enterprises. In 2018, the Economic & Information Commission of Fujian Province plans to arrange 1.072 Billion RMB for promotion and application of New Energy Automobile throughout the province, and take steps to push forward the progress of R&D and innovation of New Energy Automobile technology.
