On April 8, the first working meeting of the organizing committee for the 26th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) was convened in Xiamen, Fujian Province. Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy International Trade Representative Ling Ji, Vice Governor of Fujian Province Zhao Zenglian, and Mayor of Xiamen Wu Bin attended the meeting and delivered remarks. Representatives from relevant departments of the CIFIT preparatory working group and member units reported on their progress and put forward suggestions.

The 26th CIFIT is scheduled to be held in Xiamen from September 8 to 11, 2026. This session will thoroughly implement the guiding principles from President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter to the 25th CIFIT and his series of important speeches on expanding opening-up. Centering on the theme of promoting two-way investment, the fair will focus on three main sections: “Invest in China,” “China Investment,” and “International Investment.” It will meticulously plan professional exhibitions and a series of investment promotion activities, adhering to the direction of specialization, internationalization, and digitalization. The aim is to continuously enhance the fair’s international influence and investment effectiveness, playing a positive role in fostering an open world economy.
