On April 8, the “CIFIT Intelligence Hub: Xiamen-Taiwan Sci-Tech Innovation and High-End Manufacturing Matchmaking Exchange Event” was held in Xiamen. This was the first time the Fair Affairs Department of the Organizing Committee of the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) has extended the platform function of CIFIT in promoting cross-strait economic and trade cooperation from the exhibition period into regular activities and advanced industrial fronts.

Under the theme “Integrating Cross-Strait Chains, Intelligently Creating the Future,” the event attracted nearly a hundred representatives from key industrial parks across the strait, startup bases for Taiwanese youth, and Taiwanese-invested enterprises, among others. The agenda featured presentations on the local business environment, thematic sharing sessions, and one-on-one precision matchmaking meetings. Representatives from Xiamen’s investment promotion authorities held face-to-face discussions with Taiwanese enterprise delegates, aiming to swiftly translate cooperation intentions into concrete outcomes.

“Fujian, especially Xiamen, possesses geographical and cultural advantages that make it a crucial hub for Taiwanese enterprises expanding into the mainland market,” said Hu Huisen, Vice Chairman of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association. He noted that Taiwan has deep technological expertise in semiconductors and smart manufacturing, while the mainland offers vast market potential and diverse application scenarios, creating significant potential for complementary strengths.

Lin Yisheng, Executive Vice President of the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland, stated that the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan explicitly calls for high-quality advancement in building a demonstration zone for integrated cross-strait development, providing a clear strategic pathway for industrial cooperation across the strait.

Last year, the 25th CIFIT introduced the “Cross-Strait Integrated Development Zone” for the first time. As the inaugural attempt to extend the CIFIT brand, this matchmaking exchange event precisely connects high-end manufacturing resources across the Strait, building a convenient channel for Taiwanese enterprises to integrate into Xiamen’s industrial ecosystem. The organizers expressed that they will continue to develop the “CIFIT Intelligence Hub” series to promote deeper synergy in cross-strait industrial chains.
