On October 16, the Fujian Marine Economy Industry Cooperation and Innovation Development Conference took place in Fuzhou as a key event of the World Maritime Equipment Conference 2025. Attendees included Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Fujian Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee; Zhao Long, Deputy Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Fujian Provincial People’s Government; and Guo Ningning, Deputy Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee. They witnessed the signing of major projects.

During this year’s World Maritime Equipment Conference, Fujian Province secured agreements for 172 projects, with a total investment surpassing RMB 200 billion. Notably, 50 projects with a combined investment of RMB 99.15 billion were signed on-site. These include the Offshore Fuzhou “Hundred 10,000-ton” Ecological Aquaculture Platform, Wuyang’s new large-scale LNG transport and bunkering vessel, Sunrui Composite Marine New Energy Equipment R&D and Testing Line, Dongshan County Blue Granary Construction, Huamo Seawater Treatment Equipment and Membrane Product Manufacturing, Huateng Offshore New Energy Storage Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing, Haitu Underwater Robots and Intelligent Electrification of Township Vessels Construction, and Mingyang Smart Offshore Engineering Equipment Comprehensive Development. These projects emphasize emerging marine industries, involve strong corporate participants, and present promising investment prospects.

Provincial leaders Zhang Yan, Wu Xielin, Miao Yanhong, Wang Jinfu, Lin Ruiliang, and Kang Tao were also in attendance. Wang Yongli, Member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Fujian Provincial People’s Government, presided over the conference and outlined the development of Fujian’s marine economy. The event was attended by leaders from relevant national ministries and commissions, distinguished foreign guests, representatives from international organizations, experts, scholars, and principal officials from all prefecture-level cities, the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, relevant provincial departments, and major provincial state-owned enterprises.

This conference serves as a vital platform to showcase the achievements and effectiveness of the World Maritime Equipment Conference. It aims to deepen cooperation and integration within the marine economy industry and promote the implementation of influential leading enterprises and major projects in the marine economy.
