Recently, the Digital Transformation Achievement Matchmaking Conference of the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention was held in Hefei, Anhui Province.
At the conference, the Planning Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 2025 National Model Cases of Manufacturing Digital Transformation. With its initiative of “Improving the ‘government–enterprise–service’ transformation ecosystem to advance the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises,” Quanzhou was named among 15 national city cases, standing out as the only one from Fujian Province.
In recent years, Quanzhou has established a working mechanism of “dedicated task forces for coordination, joint actions across municipal and county levels, enterprises as the main actors, benchmarks as leaders, and service providers as enablers.” By focusing on enhancing quality and efficiency in the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises, the city has fostered a transformation ecosystem in which “the government provides the platform, enterprises take the stage, and multiple stakeholders empower the process.” As a result, more than 89% of local industrial enterprises above designated size have embarked on digital transformation. Moreover, Quanzhou ranks first in Fujian Province in the number of benchmark recognitions, including provincial-level and above smart factories, exemplary application scenarios, and projects integrating new-generation information technology with manufacturing.
