To further promote its city brand as a “Garden City and Cultural Capital” and to deepen regional cooperation in culture, tourism, and talent development, Zhangzhou will hold a series of cultural tourism and wellness investment promotion events from September 23 to 27 in Jilin, Changchun, and Harbin. Through a variety of activities, including cultural tourism resource presentations, intangible cultural heritage showcases, and the release of talent policies, the events will comprehensively highlight Zhangzhou’s wellness tourism resources, investment opportunities, and talent development environment.
During the events, Zhangzhou will focus on promoting 12 cultural tourism investment promotion projects, including the Xiangcheng Lin Yutang Cultural Park and the Dongshan Aojiao Village Upgrade Project. The promotion will also highlight a range of high-quality wellness and tourism bases, such as the Nanjing Tulou World Heritage Site, Guanyang Village (named one of the “Best Tourist Villages”), the Dongshan Island Coastal Tourism Resort, and the Longhai Lukai Ecological Resort. Furthermore, it will showcase premium wellness facilities like the Pien Tze Huang Hot Spring Hotel, alongside related supporting wellness infrastructure in Longhai, recognized as “ China's Leisure Food Capital.” These initiatives will systematically present Zhangzhou’s diverse cultural tourism and wellness resources, demonstrating both the depth and breadth of the city’s cultural tourism and wellness industry. The events will feature live performances of Zhangzhou’s intangible cultural heritage, including Budai Puppet Show, Gezai Opera, and paper-cutting art. Interactive exhibition areas will showcase intangible cultural heritage and local leisure food products, allowing people in Northeast China to experience Zhangzhou’s cultural charm up close.
The promotion events will be hosted by the Zhangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, co-organized by the Talent Office of the Zhangzhou Municipal Committee, the Longhai District Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Nanjing County Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and executed by the Zhangzhou Media Center.
