On August 26, the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China held a press conference to introduce details about the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT). Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative Ling Ji, alongside Vice Governor of Fujian Province Wang Jinfu, attended the event.
Ling Ji stated that this year’s CIFIT will host a wide range of “Invest in China” activities, including roundtable meetings with multinational executives and over 30 specialized investment promotion events. The Financial Capital Zone will gather over 70 major financial institutions and listed companies, focusing on financial services and investment project matchmaking. An innovative “China Investment” platform will be introduced, featuring three dedicated sections: outbound investment and cooperation, comprehensive overseas services, and Silk Road Maritime, all aimed at fostering international collaboration in production and supply chains. For the first time, the Ministry of Commerce will coordinate with several chambers of commerce to release the China Outbound Investment Activity Index. Additionally, multiple financial institutions will organize project matchmaking sessions and launch special initiatives to enhance two-way investment. This year’s “International Investment” appeal is stronger than ever, with delegations from over 110 countries and regions, as well as international organizations, confirmed to attend, and 51 countries and regions setting up exhibition booths.
Wang Jinfu announced that this year’s conference will optimize its exhibition layout, highlighting industry frontiers, Fujian-Taiwan cross-strait cooperation, and eco-friendly practices. Dedicated zones will showcase new quality productive forces and cross-strait integrated development, with exhibitors encouraged to design green, energy-efficient, and innovative booths to foster a low-carbon event. The matchmaking system will be upgraded to provide a global, multilateral platform for business exchanges and project negotiations. Alongside multiple flagship events, the “Cloud CIFIT” platform will enhance its functions to streamline investment matchmaking. Support services will prioritize green, cost-effective, and efficient practices, with comprehensive measures to elevate overall conference standards.
The press conference also announced that this year’s CIFIT will take place in Xiamen from September 8 to 11, themed “Join Hands with China, Invest in the Future”. The event will center on three key sections: “Invest in China”, “China Investment”, and “International Investment”. Spanning approximately 120,000 square meters of exhibition space, it will feature more than 70 investment-themed activities and over 100 specialized roadshows. The United Kingdom and Jiangsu Province will serve as the guest country of honor and the guest province of honor, respectively.
