According to the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Quanzhou City, a construction machinery supply-demand matchmaking event, themed “Bringing Together Industry Chains for New Quality and Collaborative Development”, was recently held in Quanzhou under the Fujian Provincial Industrial Enterprise Supply-Demand Docking Platform. At the event, 16 companies reached 9 cooperation agreements covering areas such as high-end equipment manufacturing, new material applications, and intelligent technology, with a total intended investment of RMB 213 million.

The event, guided by the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Quanzhou City and organized by the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Fengze District, was hosted by the Quanzhou Construction Machinery Industry Association. It aimed to foster precise connections between upstream and downstream enterprises within the industrial chain, encourage resource sharing, enhance complementary advantages, help enterprises expand their markets, and strengthen competitiveness. At the same time, by having the government provide a platform and encouraging enterprise participation, it aims to address issues such as information asymmetry between supply and demand and inefficient cooperation channels, thereby promoting the development of industrial clusters. Serving as a bridge connecting government, enterprises, academia, and research, the event attracted enthusiastic participation from representatives of over 70 engineering machinery companies and academic research institutions.

During the event, several experts and industry professionals delivered keynote speeches and special presentations focusing on key issues and trends in industry development, such as globalization, digitalization, and intelligent transformation. “The principle of low-risk entry into foreign trade is to secure orders first, then expand overseas,” stated Huang Ligui, General Manager of Xiamen ForEasy Technology Co., Ltd. and Xiamen Yixunpan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. He emphasized that when expanding into overseas markets and establishing distribution channels, priority should be given to obtaining access certifications. For markets with interested clients, it is crucial to quickly apply for the relevant certifications for key products. Building independent marketing websites for foreign trade, with professional service teams like Trade Express assisting in setting up these sites, can help gain direct and accurate traffic from the world’s largest search engines. Participating in local professional exhibitions can integrate online and offline efforts and increase order conversion rates. Trying out B2B foreign trade platforms by selecting one or two, such as Alibaba, Made-in-China.com, or industry-specific B2B sites, is recommended for promotion. Strengthening new media operations by running localized social media brand campaigns on platforms like TikTok and YouTube can boost brand exposure and recognition.

Reports indicate that Quanzhou has emerged as a significant hub for construction machinery in Fujian Province and nationwide, featuring a comprehensive industrial chain that includes excavating machinery, road machinery, port machinery, and supporting components. Notably, the construction equipment industry cluster in Luojiang District, Quanzhou, has been designated as a provincial-level intelligent manufacturing demonstration pilot base. This cluster comprises 152 high-quality enterprises, with an annual output value nearing RMB 20 billion. Last year, the output value of Quanzhou’s construction machinery industry surpassed RMB 100 billion. Within this sector, Xinyuan Heavy Industry’s wheeled excavators have maintained the largest market share domestically for 5 consecutive years.

“Moving forward, we will continue to enhance the long-term mechanism for aligning supply and demand, strengthen targeted policy support, efficiently integrate resources, and foster the concentration of innovative elements. This will drive the construction machinery industry toward greater intelligence, sustainability, and service orientation,” stated an official from the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Quanzhou City. The official added that, propelled by the strong “Four-Chain Integration” (integration of innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, and talent chain), the city will continue to reinforce the foundation for the development of its construction machinery industry.
