Zhangzhou Plans 972 Projects Over RMB 100M in H1, Totaling RMB 648.16B

The Zhangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission recently announced that, from January to June this year (H1), Zhangzhou planned to launch 972 new projects, each with an investment exceeding RMB 100 million, amounting to a total investment of RMB 648.16 billion. Among them, there are 16 projects with a total investment of RMB 5 billion or more.

By district, Xiangcheng District, Zhangpu County, and Longwen District each reported total investments exceeding RMB 70 billion, with RMB 112.35 billion, RMB 73.26 billion, and RMB 72.1 billion, respectively. Longhai District, Changtai District, Yunxiao County, Dongshan County, and Gulei Development Zone each recorded total investments surpassing RMB 40 billion, amounting to RMB 46.65 billion, RMB 46.09 billion, RMB 45.95 billion, RMB 44.5 billion, and RMB 40.13 billion, respectively. Additionally, 6 cross-county/district projects accounted for a combined investment of RMB 2.24 billion. By sector, there are 518 industrial development projects with a total investment of RMB 368.71 billion, 325 infrastructure projects totaling RMB 229.98 billion, 72 social and livelihood projects with a combined investment of RMB 22.13 billion, 40 ecological and environmental projects totaling RMB 18.48 billion, 7 science and technology innovation projects with a total investment of RMB 4.18 billion, and 10 other support projects amounting to RMB 4.67 billion. By scale, there are 16 projects with a total investment of RMB 5 billion or more, 111 projects with investments between RMB 1 billion and RMB 5 billion, and 845 projects with investments ranging from RMB 100 million to RMB 1 billion.

An official from the Zhangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission stated that the next steps will focus on planning, attracting, and executing high-quality projects. Efforts will be concentrated on key areas, with enhanced services and support to ensure effective project implementation and investment promotion, laying a solid foundation for sustained long-term development.
