At 16:10 on the 11th, Flight MF872 from Seoul, South Korea, landed at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (hereinafter referred to as “Xiamen Airport”), and 164 passengers then proceeded to the terminal under the guidance of ground service personnel. Xiamen Airport welcomed its first international inbound flight after the implementation of the "5 New Measures". The airline reported that 90 foreign passengers on the flight would be in transit to a third country or region with their 24-hour international connecting tickets.

On that day, the National Immigration Administration officially announced 5 New Measures to Facilitate Entries for Foreigners. Xiamen Airport is now one of the first 9 international airports in China to allow 24-hour direct transit passengers to bypass border inspection procedures. Foreign nationals holding 24-hour international connecting tickets can now transit to a third country or region at the Xiamen Airport Port without undergoing border inspection procedures or requiring a visa.
