Recently, the CCID Information and Software Industry Research Institute has officially published the "Evaluation Report on China's Regional Development of Big Data (2022)". According to the report, Fujian ranks 7th in big data development in the country, entering the first echelon.
Centering around the three key dimensions of the basic environment, industry development and integrated application, relevant typical indexes were selected in the report to carry out evaluation and analysis of development in areas such as the big data policy system, industrial foundation, industrial chain, and ecological system in 31 cities, districts and provinces across the country.
Based on various indexes for evaluating the regional development of big data, the top seven provinces or cities are Guangdong, Beijing, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong and Fujian. It is pointed out in the report that these seven provinces or cities demonstrate distinctive advantages and lead the country in resources and comprehensive strength. Among these, Fujian encourages coordination of top leader responsibility and Chief Data Officer in its development of the big data industry, ranking top in the country in terms of the policy landscape and organizational structure and showing notable results in developing soft and hard environments. In addition, efforts are made in facilitating in-depth integration of industry chain and innovation chain, accelerating construction of systems for data resources and promoting key industry applications, which ensure steady growth of Fujian's big data industry. The report also points out that the big data industry of Fujian still has considerable room for improvement in application in government affairs and industries.
