The China National Intellectual Property Administration has recently published and issued the "Notice of the China National Intellectual Property Administration on Recognizing Nationally Pilot and Demonstrative Cities of Intellectual Property Rights". Through application recommendation, materials examination, expert review, and other procedures, Fuzhou and Xiamen of Fujian Province have been selected among the first batch of nationally demonstrative cities of intellectual property rights. Quanzhou, Zhangzhou and Longyan have been selected as one of the first nationally pilot cities of intellectual property rights. The period of the pilot and demonstration lasts from July 2022 to June 2025.

It is learned that 38 cities (districts) nationwide have been selected as demonstrative cities. In recent years, Fujian Province has been carrying out the strategy of development powered by intellectual property rights, ensuring quality and improving efficiency, protection, management and services by enhancing intellectual property rights, striving to lead the region in intellectual property rights, and promoting high-quality development in intellectual property rights across the province. The fact that 5 cities in Fujian Province have been selected as nationally pilot and demonstrative cities of intellectual property rights means that Fujian Province has reached a new milestone for its work in intellectual property rights.
