Fujian Province has been steadily advancing collaborative construction of the 5G and gigabit passive optical network (GPON). According to the latest statistics of Fujian Communications Administration, Fujian Province now has built over 60,000 5G base stations with its 5G network basically covering all villages and towns. 340,000 10G-PON ports have been built with 94% of households covered by the 10G-PON network. Most regions above the county level are now capable of providing door-to-door fiber connectivity.
Since the beginning of this year, Fujian Province has been making great efforts to upgrade IP addresses with IPv6. With the penetration of IPv6 in mobile networks accounting for 41.9% and fixed networks 14.6%, the annual target of enhancing the traffic of fixed networks being completed ahead of schedule, which fuels economic and social development. At the same time, efforts are also made to accelerate the construction and application of industrial Internet identification nodes. Fujian Province now sees 105 million industrial Internet logos registered, up by 150% over that at the end of last year. There are 762 enterprises registered with secondary-level nodes and the number of their logo resolution reaches 526 million, covering multiple characteristic industries such as textile, food, and materials. The province has been deepening the application of mobile Internet of Things (IoT) in areas such as energy metering, smart city and digital villages. The number of IoT users in the province reached 52.385 million, up by 44.9% year on year. The province has been continuously facilitating digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of industries.
