The journalist learned from the Fuzhou Arbitration Commission that the Fuzhou Arbitration Information System has added new functions such as remote court hearings, remote collegiality, live streaming of arbitrator training activities and online self-help case enquiries by parties, aiming to create an efficient, professional and fair intelligent arbitration platform.
A person in charge of the Fuzhou Arbitration Commission Secretariat said that for cases which can be heard through online court hearings, we shall actively guide the parties to adopt online court hearings and online mediation to advance the progress of cases. At the same time, we shall organize online collegiality and online review of documents by arbitrators to speed up the conclusion of cases and ensure the quality and efficiency of hearings. Since the COVID-19 outbreak in March, the Fuzhou Arbitration Commission has conducted 32 online court hearings and 6 online hearings by collegiate panels through the Internet arbitration service platform, and concluded 26 cases, of which 12 were mediated online (including cases withdrawn after mediation).
In the next step, the Fuzhou Arbitration Commission will step up its efforts in pre-court, in-court and post-court mediation, implement "one-stop" delivery of arbitration + postal services, and provide precise arbitration services.
