Putian City will build a specialized park and a comprehensive service platform for gold, silver and jewelry trades, improve the industrial chain of gold, silver and jewelry, and comprehensively enhance the ability to pool resources. 

Zhu Haihui, deputy mayor of Putian Municipal People's government, delivered a speech at the 2021 Putian Gold, Silver and Jewelry Industry Development Conference on December 18, saying that “there are obvious deficiencies in the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of Putian's gold, silver and jewelry industry chain, such as lack of famous brands, lack of talents, difficulties in accessing financing, lack of leading and internationally influential enterprises, etc.” Those shortcomings will be the priorities of improvement in the future. 

It is reported that Putian City will develop new modes of precise investment attraction relying on businesses and industrial chains, and make continuous efforts to supplement the industrial chain. Relying on the characteristic Gold and Silver Town, Putian City will further amplify its advantages, intensify policy-based guidance, improve industrial supporting facilities, integrate the terminal market resources of Putian merchants, attract domestic and foreign top-notch brands to set up operation centers and procurement centers in Putian City, and build a full industrial chain of gold, silver and jewelry integrating processing and manufacturing, R&D and design, wholesale and retail, financial services, conference and exhibition, warehousing and logistics, and industrial tourism, form a "low cost" and "high value" cluster of gold, silver and jewelry industry, and build a specialized park. 

In addition, Putian City will enhance design capabilities, empower industrial development, align with high-end resources, and plan to promote the construction of a comprehensive gold, silver and jewelry service platform integrating display, creative design, training and online and offline transactions. 

Zhu Haihui also said that “next, Putian City will lead new consumption, led by top enterprises, to actively carry out intelligent transformation of enterprises through technological transformation and the leveraging the role of capital, help gold and silver jewelry enterprises transform from conventional manufacturers to smart manufacturers, enhance their capability in customized, personalized and flexible production, and lead the new trend of the consumer market; besides, Putian City will offer new supply chain financial services to help enterprises gain capital supports, and achieve integrated development by virtue of the e-commerce platforms.”
