Fujian Province, as a national digital economy innovation and development pilot zone, is driven by industrial digitalization and digital industrialization for high-quality economic development.

By cultivating nearly 20 national and provincial industrial Internet platforms, Fujian Province has enabled over 47,000 enterprises to be cloud-based, with 49.6% of production equipment being digitally empowered and 54.1% of key processes being numerically controlled. Stable progress has been made in the industrial digitalization in Fujian Province.

At the same time, digital industrialization is also profoundly reshaping the economic pattern of Fujian Province. Fujian Province regards digital technology innovation as an important starting point for industrial development and joins hands with domestic universities and research institutes to build 13 national and provincial key laboratories and 45 engineering research centers in the field of the digital economy.

At present, an array of 100-billion-worth digital industrial clusters have been formed in Fuzhou, Xiamen, and other cities, such as software and information technology services, integrated circuits, and optoelectronic industries.

In the first three quarters this year, the added value of high-tech manufacturing industries including integrated circuit manufacturing and optoelectronic devices in Fujian Province increased by 29.1% year-on-year, seeing an increase of 9 percentage points over that of the nation, accounting for 34.4% of the growth of industrial enterprises above designated size.
