【 Construction Scale and Content 】 Based on the annual mining of 1 million tons of tantalum niobium ore in Yongding District and the associated tantalum niobium ore from overseas mines of Zijin Mining, we will lay out and construct production lines for high-purity tantalum niobium oxide, tantalum powder, high-performance tantalum niobium alloy and other products, which will be widely used in the functional and structural materials of new generation cutting-edge weapons, medical equipment and other fields.
【 Reasons and Conditions for Construction 】 The project relies on Yongding's lithium niobium tantalum niobium ore resources and the mining industry foundation in the region, implements the deployment of new mining economy and mining+new materials, promotes the extension of tantalum niobium ore from mining and selection to high value-added industries such as high-purity oxides and high-performance alloys, and transforms resource advantages into industrial and economic advantages. It is a mining node project that extends the chain, strengthens the chain, and supplements the chain. After the project is completed, it will be conducive to filling the regional mining+new materials, driving the upstream and downstream coordination of the industrial chain, and helping to build a characteristic new material industry cluster.

Fujian leverages its resource advantages to vigorously develop new energy and renewable energy, focusing on building a significant energy base along the southeastern coast and constructing a diversified clean energy supply system of “hydro, nuclear, wind, solar, gas, and storage.” By the end of 2025, installed capacity for offshore wind power reached 3.83 million kilowatts, with wind energy utilization hours ranking first nationwide for 12 consecutive years. As of the end of 2025, Fujian's power generation installed capacity exceeded 100 million kilowatts for the first time, reaching 100.49 million kilowatts. The proportion of clean energy installed capacity and generation in Fujian reached 65.8% and 57.5%, respectively, both ranking first in East China. Renewable energy has long maintained full consumption. The Fujian Three Gorges Wind Power International Industrial Park became the first industrial park in China to achieve “carbon neutrality.”
