On April 23, Fujian Governor Zhao Long met in Fuzhou with a delegation led by Zhao Qiping, President of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Association of the Philippines. Deputy Governor Jiang Erxiong attended the meeting.

Zhao Long, representing the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and the Fujian Provincial People's Government, extended a welcome to the delegation and expressed gratitude for their long-standing concern and support for Fujian's high-quality development. He stated that the entire province is currently comprehensively advancing high-quality development and striving to position Fujian at the forefront of China's modernization drive, guided by the grand blueprint for a "new Fujian" characterized by "vibrant mechanisms, upgraded industries, well-being for the people, and a beautiful ecology," personally outlined by President Xi Jinping. Overseas compatriots have always cherished their homeland and maintained deep affection for their hometown, serving as an important force in building a new Fujian in the new era. He hopes that they will continue to act as a bridge and bond, promoting local exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and the Philippines, disseminating China's excellent traditional culture, safeguarding the harmonious development of overseas Chinese communities, and demonstrating greater achievements in deepening mutual understanding and promoting mutual learning among civilizations.

Zhao Qiping, Cai Yongning, Xu Zhongrong, and Cai Zhihe expressed that Fujian's socio-economic high-quality development has yielded fruitful results, which make them feel both honored and inspired. The Federation of Filipino-Chinese Association of the Philippines will steadfastly uphold its original aspiration for the homeland and remember its mission as an overseas Chinese organization. It will leverage its advantages in bridging China and the world, actively promote and showcase Fujian, and contribute greater strength to the modernization of their hometown.
