Promoting High-Quality Development with Tangible Results

On April 1, Governor Zhao Long inspected the work of relevant provincial departments overseeing commerce, market regulation, and veterans affairs. He provided guidance on educational initiatives to establish and practice a correct view of political performance and urged efforts to address misconduct and corruption problems that affect the public. He stressed the importance of thoroughly studying and implementing the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the National Two Sessions, as well as earnestly acting upon the important speeches and instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping regarding Fujian's work. In line with the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee's requirements, he called for upholding reform and innovation, reinforcing the commitment to duty and action, driving high-quality development with solid achievements, and making greater contributions to the province's endeavor to excel in the Chinese path to modernization. Vice Governor Zhao Zenglian participated in the inspection.

Zhao Long visited the China (Fujian) International Trade Single Window, the comprehensive service platform for Fujian Enterprises Going Global, the Fujian Provincial Investment Promotion Center, the Fujian Provincial Market Regulation Smart Command Center, the Fujian Provincial Institute of Metrology, the Fujian Provincial Veterans Service Center, and the integrated veterans service platform. He gained a detailed understanding of the work concerning opening-up, commercial circulation, market regulation, and the development of the service and support system for veterans. He emphasized that this year marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. All departments at various levels must, in accordance with the CPC Central Committee's directives and the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee's requirements, make greater efforts to study new situations and solve new problems, anchor themselves to set goals and tasks, diligently implement work, and promote effective qualitative improvement and reasonable quantitative growth in the economy. With reform and innovation as the fundamental driving force, it is essential to fully leverage enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity, coordinate efforts to boost consumption, stabilize foreign trade, attract investment, and expand two-way investment, steadily advance institutional opening-up, and contribute to smoothing the domestic circulation and better connecting with the international circulation. It is necessary to fully integrate into the national unified market, continuously adapt to changing circumstances, properly handle the relationship between regulation and service, strive to enhance the efficiency and level of comprehensive regulation, strengthen intellectual property protection, firmly safeguard security, and consistently build a first-class business environment. It is important to carry forward fine traditions, enhance digital and intelligent capabilities, conscientiously and compassionately handle the resettlement, employment, and service support for veterans, continue to burnish the gold-lettered signboard of mutual support between the military and civilians, and write a new chapter for the era of “loving our people and loving our military.”

During the inspection, Zhao Long gained an in-depth understanding of how various units carry out educational activities to establish and practice a correct view of political performance. He listened to reports on the implementation of projects for public benefit and the concentrated efforts to address misconduct and corruption problems affecting the public. He stressed the need to firmly grasp the general requirements of "serving the public good, benefiting the people, making scientific decisions, and working diligently and pragmatically." Efforts must be made earnestly and solidly to raise ideological understanding, rectify prominent problems, establish sound systems and rules, and create achievements that can withstand the test of practice and history, genuinely benefit the people, and gain public recognition. This year is crucial for the concentrated efforts to address prominent issues. It is imperative to shoulder political responsibility, focus on key areas such as food safety, work jointly with discipline inspection and supervision agencies to tackle common challenges, resolutely investigate and address issues that harm the public interest, fully resolve the pressing difficulties and concerns of the people, and ensure that the public truly benefits and can feel the tangible results.
