On February 4, the Zhangzhou Longhai Food Industry “Four-Chain” Integration Supply-Demand Matching and Investment Promotion Conference was held. The event was jointly organized by the Zhangzhou Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureauthe CPC Longhai District Committee, and Longhai District People’s Government. Nearly 200 representatives from food enterprises, upstream and downstream industrial chain companies, and relevant organizations participated.

A centralized signing ceremony was held during the event. A total of 12 food industry investment projects were signed, with a combined investment of RMB 3.783 billion. Additionally, 12 food industry supply-demand cooperation projects were inked, amounting to RMB 710 million in total value. Furthermore, 6 financial credit grant agreements were signed, with a total credit line of RMB 24.49 billion.

The event featured a special lecture by Ruan Hui, Associate Professor at the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science of Zhejiang University and Deputy Director of the Zhejiang University-Longhai Food Industry Joint Research Center. He delivered a presentation on the theme Application of Future Food Concepts in the Development of the Food Industry.

In recent years, Longhai has focused on the core pathway of “Four-Chain” (the industrial chain, innovation chain, capital chain, and talent chain) integration, with government and enterprises working in unison towards progress. Regarding the industrial chain, precise layouts have been made around linking “grain cultivation to food processing”, forming a new industrial structure characterized by seamless upstream-downstream connections and multi-chain synergy. On the innovation chain, efforts have been made to actively integrate high-end intellectual resources, enabling innovation to empower industrial upgrading. For the capital chain, bridges have been built to guide the precise flow of financial resources into the real economy. Concerning the talent chain, a dual strategy of attracting and cultivating talent has been implemented, gradually forming a distinct, multi-tiered, and well-structured “talent formation”.
