Fuzhou Accelerates Key Projects to Ensure Strong Start for 15th Five-Year Plan, As Guo Ningning and Wu Xiande Stressed During Visit

On January 13, Guo Ningning, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Fuzhou Mayor Wu Xiande led a team to inspect and advance key construction projects. They emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the important directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection in Fujian. Aligning with the requirements of the economic work conferences of the CPC Central and Fujian Provincial Committees, the officials stressed accelerating the pace, improving quality, and enhancing efficiency of key projects under the theme of “Year of Breakthroughs with Competitive Drive”. This effort aims to ensure a strong start for Fuzhou’s 15th Five-Year Plan period.

  The construction of resettlement housing, a vital livelihood and public welfare initiative, directly impacts residents’ well-being. Guo Ningning and Wu Xiande paid close attention to this issue, visiting the construction site of the Gulou Henan New Village resettlement project. They reviewed its planning, timeline, and funding arrangements, engaging in in-depth discussions with project leaders. The officials urged expedited progress while ensuring quality and safety, with the goal of timely completion and early relocation for affected residents. They also called on local authorities and relevant departments to explore sustainable urban renewal models, steadily advancing the renovation of old neighborhoods to enhance livability.

  Under clear skies and warm sunshine, the bustling construction site of the Cangshan Huawei Flower Project in Jianxin Town—renowned as the “Century-Old Flower Village”—presented a vibrant scene. Guo Ningning and Wu Xiande inspected the project’s progress and discussed its integrated development approach combining “industry, consumption, cultural tourism, and experiential activities”. They highlighted the importance of leveraging local floral resources to coordinate new formats such as cultural leisure, coffee-themed creativity, and culinary offerings. By fostering the convergence of agriculture, culture, tourism, and commerce, the project is poised to become a new landmark for Fuzhou’s cultural tourism, consumption, and nighttime economy.

  Low-altitude economy is a crucial strategic emerging industry. Guo Ningning and Wu Xiande visited the Low-Altitude Headquarters Base and Low-Altitude Equipment Manufacturing Base in Minhou County, reviewing Fuzhou’s progress in infrastructure, equipment production, management support, and application scenarios. They emphasized the need to build a comprehensive unmanned aerial system by attracting upstream and downstream enterprises in low-altitude equipment and smart manufacturing. The officials called for high-standard public service platforms to foster an industrial ecosystem integrating R&D, design, manufacturing, operations, services, and skills training, driving high-quality development in the sector.
