On December 16, the Fujian Marine Comprehensive Test Site (Deep-Sea and Far-Sea Aquaculture Equipment) Project Matchmaking Event, part of the “Dual Entry” initiative to empower enterprises with marine science and technology achievements, was successfully held in Fuzhou. Organized by the Fujian Provincial Ocean and Fisheries Bureau, the event is one of a series of 100 matchmaking activities aimed at advancing high-quality development in the marine economy and accelerating the implementation of the Fujian Marine Comprehensive Test Site.

During the event, leading deep-sea and far-sea aquaculture equipment enterprises in Fujian presented their plans for deep-sea and far-sea farming platforms and resource integration, while demonstrating on-site the operation of the information management system for a series of such platforms. The Fujian Ocean Innovation Center introduced the China-Europe Blue Development Investment Fund. Representatives from the Fisheries Division, Science and International Cooperation Division, and Disaster Prevention Division of the Fujian Provincial Ocean and Fisheries Bureau delivered thematic presentations on: 1) deep-sea and far-sea aquaculture technology systems; 2) research project layout and collaboration mechanisms; and 3) marine disaster monitoring, early warning, and production safety. They also proposed collaboration opportunities tailored to deep-sea and far-sea aquaculture equipment. Participants also exchanged insights on technology R&D, equipment support, capital investment, and application scenarios.

On-site, several enterprises signed letters of intent to collaborate on deep-sea and far-sea aquaculture technology R&D, equipment testing, and talent cultivation, jointly advancing the construction of the marine test site.
