Xiamen has expanded its roster of enterprises that use specialized and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products. The city recently released a draft list of 322 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the 2025 second batch certification and recertification, including 227 newly recognized enterprises and 95 that passed recertification.

Notably, the 227 newly certified enterprises include Weicheng Industrial, Leedarson IoT Technology, and Tes Tec, while the 95 recertified enterprises, such as RGBlink Technology and Yinhua Machinery, also made the list. These enterprises span key sectors including software and information, biopharma, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy, and advanced materials, with many having won national-level tech awards and some, based on their innovative technologies, emerging as leaders in niche industrial segments.

Qualified SMEs will be prioritized for provincial-level recognition or national-level “Little Giant” titles. They may also access incentives like up to RMB 10 million in tech upgrade subsidies, low-interest financing, and government-led trade missions for market expansion.

In recent years, Xiamen has implemented full lifecycle services for enterprises that use specialized and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products through tiered cultivation, policy incentives, and funding support. To date, the city has nurtured 46 key “Little Giant” enterprises that use specialized and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products, 213 national “Little Giant” enterprises, 2,080 SMEs that use specialized and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products (excluding this batch), and 2,581 innovative SMEs—leading each tier in the provincial metrics.
