Snacks set the stage, economy takes the spotlight. On December 7, leveraging the momentum of the 29th Sha County Snacks Tourism and Culture Festival and the 3rd Cross-Strait Food Carnival, Shaxian District in Sanming City hosted a specialized industry chain investment promotion conference. Over 200 business representatives gathered to explore cooperation and development opportunities.

The event saw the signing of 18 high-added-value projects with strong industrial linkages, including the Shaxian District Snacks Industry Chain Digital Empowerment Project, Shaxian Nutraceutical Snacks Production Project, and High-Purity Coating Silica Deep Processing Project. Spanning sectors like snack manufacturing, commerce, food processing, silicon materials, and emergency fire safety, the projects represent a total investment of RMB 754 million.

Among them, the RMB 50 million Shaxian District Snacks Industry Digital Empowerment Project will establish a platform integrating “smart front-end + data hub + supply chain collaboration”. Key features include intelligent ordering and cashiering, a visual data center, and a supply chain coordination platform, providing standardized digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency, precision marketing, and scalable expansion for snack brands, fostering a smart dining ecosystem.

Additionally, the RMB 101 million High-Purity Coating Silica Deep Processing Project in Shaxian District will construct a new production line with an annual capacity of 4,800 tons of high-purity silica for coatings, alongside production workshops, finished goods warehouses, and support facilities. Deep-processing equipment such as air compressors, drying systems, air grinders, and packaging machines will be installed.

Over the past year, Shaxian District has organized 9 investment roadshows in cities like Beijing, Fuzhou, and Xiamen, and participated in 11 provincial and municipal promotion events, securing 70 projects with a planned total investment of RMB 15.2 billion. By strengthening project support and implementing full lifecycle service mechanisms, 35 projects exceeding RMB 100 million each—including the Shanghai-Sanming Food Industrial Park and Qinghong Bamboo Deep Processing Project—have commenced, including one backed by a national-level enterprise that uses specialized and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products.
