On November 20, the Fujian High-Quality Development of Marine Economy Hundred Projects and the 2025 Fujian Marine Bioindustry High-Quality Development Matchmaking Event were held in Shishi, Quanzhou. The event was hosted by the Fujian Provincial Department of Ocean and Fisheries and the Quanzhou Municipal People's Government, with co-organization by the Quanzhou Municipal Ocean and Fisheries Bureau and other municipal departments.

  Attendees included prominent figures, including Academicians Jin Zhengyu and Xue Changhu from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Li Laihao, Director of the National Aquatic Products Processing Technology R&D Center, Zhu Hong, Second-Level Inspector of the Fujian Provincial Ocean and Fisheries Bureau, Zhou Xiaohua, Member of the Standing Committee of the Quanzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary-General, Zheng Baodong, Vice President of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, and Li Xuepeng, Vice President of Bohai University. The gathering also featured experts and scholars from domestic universities and research institutions, representatives from marine science and innovation platforms, and delegates from marine-related enterprises.

  During the opening ceremony, Shishi City officially introduced its special expert team dedicated to the efficient utilization of bulk fishery resources. The team includes 20 leading scholars in fields like marine bioengineering and food science, providing high-level expertise to boost the development of bulk fishery resources in Shishi and beyond.

  The event also featured a promotion session for the Shishi Marine Bioindustry Park, along with a signing ceremony for technical collaboration projects between the Quanzhou Marine Bioindustry Research Institute and multiple enterprises. Five major marine economy projects were signed, covering advanced sectors such as marine engineering equipment, intelligent manufacturing, marine biomedicine, green materials, future foods, and modern fisheries, with a total investment of 2.169 billion RMB. Three marine industry investment and technology projects were showcased in live roadshows: Development and Future Prospects of the Antarctic Krill Industry, AI+Marine Ranching—Digital Intelligence Empowering Industrial Cluster Upgrades, and Smart Cold Chain Infrastructure: Building Resilience and Vitality in Global Agricultural and Fishery Product Supply Chains.

  A dedicated exhibition zone brought together nearly 20 high-quality marine-related companies from Shenzhen, Beijing, and Taiwan. Focusing on marine engineering, marine food, and marine biology, the zone highlighted cutting-edge technologies like AI monitoring, robotic operations, and digital twins. This provided local businesses with direct technical insights and partnership opportunities, helping Fujian's marine bioindustry shift from traditional methods to high-end, intelligent production.
