On October 23, Fuzhou hosted a provincial on-site meeting focused on key county-level industrial chains and associated work. The event saw the participation of Lin Ruiliang, Vice Governor of Fujian Provincial People’s Government, and Kang Tao, a member of the Fujian Provincial People’s Government’s Party Leadership Group, both of whom delivered speeches.
The meeting underscored the importance of thoroughly studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s significant remarks on new industrialization. It called for advancing the development of key county-level industrial chains, promoting industrial digital transformation, standardizing the development of industrial parks, and fostering the integration of artificial intelligence with the low-altitude economy. Additionally, it highlighted the need to cultivate enterprises that use specialized and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products while ensuring work safety and environmental protection in the industrial sector to promote high-quality industrial development. Efforts must be intensified to develop key county-level industrial chains, establish cross-regional industrial collaboration mechanisms, and continuously deepen the integration of the “four chains”. The national “AI Plus” initiative should be implemented to accelerate the development and application of industry-specific vertical models and intelligent agents, alongside coordinating the construction and allocation of computing power across the province. Opportunities in the low-altitude economy should be seized by strengthening safety and security measures, improving the layout of the low-altitude equipment industry and infrastructure, attracting and cultivating leading enterprises, and steadily expanding application scenarios. The digital transformation of industries must be fully advanced, with an acceleration in the development of pilot cities, integration of service provider resources, and active promotion of digital service products that are small-scale, fast, lightweight, and precise. The development of industrial parks should be further standardized, with intensified investment promotion efforts and better utilization of existing factory buildings. Efforts to cultivate enterprises that use specialized and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products must be intensified, offering robust support in application guidance, financing services, and related areas. Ensuring steady growth in the industrial sector is crucial, with a focus on strengthening confidence and resolve, striving for a strong performance in the fourth quarter, and working towards achieving annual goals and tasks to contribute more to Fujian’s economic development.
The event featured on-site inspections, expert lectures, and corporate exchanges. Participants conducted field visits to Fujian Fuda Beidou Communication Technology, the Fuzhou UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) / UAS (unmanned aircraft system) Business Incubator, and StarNet Technology. Experts from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Xiamen University, and Volcano Engine delivered specialized lectures. Representatives from 7 companies shared their insights, while the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology reported on the progress of related initiatives.
