Recently, the Industry and Information Technology Department of Fujian Province issued the Implementation Plan for Key Technological Innovation and Industrialization Projects in Fujian Province. The Plan further strengthens the role of enterprises as the main drivers of innovation, focuses on driving key industrial technology breakthroughs, accelerates technological upgrades and domestic substitution, and promotes the deep integration of scientific and industrial innovation.

The Implementation Plan focuses on enhancing innovation capabilities in key industrial sectors of our province, aiming for industrialization. It organizes efforts to drive key industrial technology breakthroughs, supporting a range of technologically advanced scientific achievements and outstanding products with strong industrialization prospects that can boost enterprise competitiveness and industry influence. The Plan aims to promote independent control over key technologies in prioritized areas, accelerate the development of critical technologies that can replace imports, foster the transformation of innovative achievements into practical applications, and establish advanced standards that can lead the industries. Ultimately, it helps to significantly strengthen Fujian’s industrial foundation and modernize its industrial supply chains. From 2025 to 2027, no more than 65 projects will be selected and supported each year.

The supported projects will mainly relate to key areas of Fujian's new industrial system, including: traditional advantageous industries such as electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing, petrochemicals, and modern textiles and apparel; as well as emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, software and information technology services, industrial internet, new energy, new materials, green environmental protection, biomedicine, and low-altitude manufacturing. Projects that can break through critical technological challenges in industry and achieve domestic substitution will receive subsidies of RMB 3 million, RMB 2 million, or RMB 1 million, depending on the innovation capability of the implementing enterprise, the technological advancement of the project, and the benefits of its industrialization. 50% of the subsidy will be disbursed upon project approval, with the remaining balance paid after successful completion and acceptance.
