The 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) opened in Xiamen on September 8. He Lifeng, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, read President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

He Lifeng pointed out that President Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the CIFIT and sent a congratulatory letter specifically for the event, fully demonstrating China’s firm determination to work with all countries to jointly build an open world economy. As an important platform for promoting two-way investment, the CIFIT has become a bridge and link connecting China with the world, and a channel for the world to share in the opportunities brought by Chinese-style modernization.

He Lifeng stated that we will earnestly implement the requirements set out in President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter, unswervingly advance high-level opening up, deepen international cooperation on industrial and supply chains, and promote high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative. It is hoped that global investors will continue to cultivate the Chinese market, jointly safeguard the international economic and trade order, and write a new chapter of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.

Before the opening ceremony, He Lifeng met with foreign dignitaries attending the event. On the afternoon of September 7, He Lifeng presided over a symposium with multinational companies and met with members of the International Advisory Council of China Investment Corporation.
