According to the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Quanzhou City, Quanzhou is leveraging its manufacturing strengths to promote the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across the entire lifecycle of the manufacturing industry. This includes enterprise research and development, production/manufacture, warehousing, logistics, and operations management. The city has actively solicited AI projects within the industrial sector, and currently, more than 100 projects have been included in its database.
The concept of “AI+” has become a key focus. In “AI + Design”, Quanzhou is actively introducing AI image recognition technology to build databases such as a “foot shape library” and a “fabric library”, helping enterprises quickly match consumer needs with design materials and improve design efficiency. In “AI + Manufacturing”, AI-powered visual inspection systems are deployed on production lines, utilizing image recognition and machine learning technologies, to detect product defects and color differences with greater accuracy and efficiency, significantly enhancing the efficiency and precision of quality control. For “AI + Warehousing & Logistics,” the adoption of AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) robots and AI path planning systems is enabling intelligent sorting and unmanned warehousing, increasing sorting efficiency and reducing labor costs. In “AI + Operations Management”, the integration of blockchain and AI technology is facilitating transparent supply chain management and the establishment of a comprehensive quality traceability system, allowing for "One Product, One Code" to achieve intelligent traceability.
At the same time, Quanzhou is intensifying its focus on technological breakthroughs, particularly in response to the digital transformation needs of key enterprises and major county-level industrial chains. The city is ramping up efforts in technological innovation by promoting the comprehensive digital transformation of industrial chains powered by artificial intelligence. Notably, 6 projects—including Fujian Seven Brand Fashion & Technology Co., Ltd.’s “AI-Powered Garment Hanging Line Human-Machine Sorting System”—have been submitted to apply for Fujian provincial-level industrial digital transformation technology research and development needs.
