On the afternoon of June 18, the “Invest in Fujian, Choose Development Zones” Fujian Investment Promotion Conference was held in Fuzhou. Wang Jinfu, Vice Governor of the Fujian Provincial People's Government, attended the conference, while Huang Heming, Director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce (the Fujian Provincial Bureau of Investment Promotion), delivered a speech. The conference brought together more than 300 participants, including officials from relevant provincial departments, local commerce and investment promotion agencies, as well as representatives from key development zones, comprehensive bonded zones, prominent global Fujian entrepreneurs, and renowned business leaders, who gathered to exchange ideas.

Director Huang Heming extended a warm welcome to the Fujian entrepreneurs and guests who had traveled from afar, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all those from various sectors who have long supported and cared for the development of commerce in Fujian. He noted that in recent years, the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce (the Fujian Provincial Bureau of Investment Promotion) has established a regular communication mechanism with out-of-province chambers of commerce, frequently visiting regions across China. By leveraging the opportunities of provincial leaders’ outbound visits, the department has actively engaged with outstanding Fujian entrepreneurs from diverse fields, strongly encouraging their return and investment in the province. He emphasized that Fujian is currently intensifying efforts to strengthen the private sector in the new era, actively advancing the "Enterprise Support Access" service mechanism, and working to shift development zones from a "project-oriented mindset" to an "ecosystem-oriented mindset." The province is promoting the transformation of industries toward high-end, green, and digital development, while building high-level strategic platforms. He warmly invited Fujian entrepreneurs to return frequently to experience the region’s vitality and prosperity, and encouraged them to visit various development zones in person to seize new opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity.

The Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, Fuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jinjiang Economic Development Zone, and Ningde Dongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone each presented their investment environment in Fujian, the unique advantages of their respective development zones, and opportunities for cooperation and development.

The conference also featured a signing ceremony for investment and cooperation projects, with 20 agreements signed totaling RMB 24.53 billion. These projects span industries such as new energy, new materials, artificial intelligence, and modern financial services.

Next, the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce (the Fujian Provincial Bureau of Investment Promotion) will thoroughly implement the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches during his visit to Fujian. The department will continue to deepen and expand the “Three Pursuits (Pursuit of Deep Learning Excellence, Pursuit of Bold Leadership, Pursuit of Tangible Results)” initiative, maintain a focus on high-quality investment promotion throughout the entire process, and further strengthen the “Invest in Fujian” brand. Efforts will be made to enhance regular engagement with domestic and international chambers of commerce and business associations, advance initiatives such as “Attracting Businesses and Talent to Fujian”, and organize a series of special investment promotion events for the return of Fujian entrepreneurs. These efforts aim to attract more projects, capital, and talent from Fujianese entrepreneurs and overseas Chinese back to the province.
