A trade delegation from the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce recently visited Osaka, Kyoto, and other locations in Japan.

During the visit, the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, together with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Fujian Sub-Council, jointly hosted the opening ceremony of f Fujian Week of China Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, as well as the China (Fujian) –Japan Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference. At the matchmaking conference, the Provincial Department of Commerce delivered a presentation on “Invest in Fujian”. Panasonic Group Japan shared its investment experience in Fujian, while Fujian Fashion-Flying Outdoor Garments Co., Ltd. introduced its debut product—the Hiking Photography Utility Vest. Leveraging the Expo’s platform for extensive showcasing, exchange, cooperation, and development, this event highlights Fujian’s favorable business environment and strong industrial foundation. It further enhanced the international visibility and influence of Fujian’s distinctive products, creating new opportunities and pathways for complementary collaboration between Fujian and Japanese enterprises. A total of 9 Fujian-Japan economic and trade cooperation projects were signed on site, including the technical transformation and capacity expansion of Nippon Electric Glass Co., Ltd.

During the visit, the delegation also met with the Chinese Consulate-General in Osaka, the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nidec Corporation, and other organizations to learn about Japan's industrial policies and market demands. They discussed building bridges for cooperation and attracting further investment, thereby expanding their network of business partners.

Looking ahead, the Provincial Department of Commerce will continue to follow up, deepen, and consolidate the achievements of the visit. Efforts will focus on further exploring cooperation potential and strengthening business ties between Fujian and Japan in key areas such as electronic information, high-end equipment manufacturing, and foreign-invested hospitals, with the aim of elevating Fujian-Japan economic and trade relations to a new level.
