2025 China-California Business Forum Held in L.A., USA

On June 2, the 2025 China-California Business Forum was held in Los Angeles, the largest city in the western United States, attracting nearly 500 political and business leaders from both China and the United States. The forum aimed to promote deeper economic and trade cooperation, as well as cultural exchanges, between various provinces and cities in China and California, the most populous and economically significant state in the U.S.

In recent years, the guest province of this forum, Fujian Province, and California have achieved positive outcomes across various areas of cooperation, highlighted by the signing of several collaborative projects during the forum. In his keynote speech, Fujian Vice Governor Wang Jinfu called for strengthened economic and trade ties to expand mutual benefits, enhanced technological cooperation to promote green and low-carbon development, and deeper cultural exchanges to foster closer people-to-people bonds.

In his opening remarks, Chinese Consul General in Los Angeles, Guo Shaochun, emphasized that the China-California Business Forum serves as a vital platform for enhancing communication and expanding business opportunities between both sides. He noted that the forum will inspire momentum for revitalizing local cooperation and promoting the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-U.S. relations. Guo also highlighted that the essence of China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation is mutual benefit and win-win results, and that strengthening collaboration across various fields serves the interests of both parties.

On June 2, Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Dilpreet Sidhu delivered the keynote speech at the 2025 China-California Business Forum held in Los Angeles.

In her speech, Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Dilpreet Sidhu outlined the city’s ongoing exchanges and cooperation with China in the areas of economy and trade, tourism, climate change, education, and sports, emphasizing their significance. She expressed Los Angeles's desire to further strengthen its longstanding partnership with China.

On June 2, Toks Omishakin, Secretary of Transportation for the state of California, delivered a speech at the 2025 China-California Business Forum held in Los Angeles.
