The 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) is scheduled to take place in Xiamen from September 8 to 11 this year. On June 3, the CIFIT Organizing Committee hosted a special promotion conference in Guangzhou to introduce the upcoming fair, provide detailed information about CIFIT, and extend invitations to global investors, encouraging them to visit Xiamen, explore Fujian, and invest in China.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's CIFIT features three main sections: “Invest in China”, “China Investment”, and “International Investment”. It aims to establish a comprehensive, multi-level, and wide-ranging investment cooperation ecosystem, fostering mutually beneficial outcomes for all participants and continuously expanding its international network of partners. At this promotional conference, 54 representatives from consulates general in China—including 15 consuls general (and acting consuls general) —from countries such as the United Kingdom, Hungary, Senegal, Belgium, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Ecuador were in attendance. Nearly 100 international guests participated, including representatives from official investment promotion agencies and commercial associations across 43 countries and regions. Notably, the number of Belt and Road partner countries taking part in this year’s promotional conference has increased compared to previous years, with growing interest from these countries in attending the CIFIT.

The United Kingdom, serving as the guest country of honor, places significant emphasis on its participation in the CIFIT. The Chief Commercial Consul at the British Consulate General in Guangzhou noted, “The UK has already commenced comprehensive preparations for the CIFIT and is actively planning related projects to highlight its prominent role as the guest country of honor. I am confident that this CIFIT will foster productive exchanges and collaboration and will undoubtedly contribute positively to further deepening the friendly cooperative relationship between Fujian Province and the United Kingdom.

Vice Mayor Lin Zhicheng of the Xiamen Municipal People’s Government, together with officials from the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province and the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, attended the promotion conference and delivered speeches.
