The 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) will be held in Xiamen from September 8 to 11. As a flagship event for the “Invest in China” initiative, CIFIT is expanding its network of partners, opening a new chapter of win-win cooperation and mutual benefit.

This year, the United Kingdom will serve as the guest country of honor, while Jiangsu Province will be the guest province of honor. Economic and trade exchanges, as well as investment cooperation between Jiangsu and the UK, have grown increasingly close. By the end of 2024, the UK had established more than 1,500 enterprises in Jiangsu. During CIFIT, Jiangsu Province plans to host special events featuring the guest province in dialogue with the guest country, focusing on exploring in-depth cooperation opportunities between the two sides in high-end manufacturing, the digital economy, green energy, and life sciences. These events aim to open new avenues for China-UK economic and trade collaboration.

Regarding the exhibition, the organizing committee will further enhance the integration of the exhibition and negotiation by implementing a new layout and plan. Functional zones such as “Invest in China”, “China Investment”, and “International Investment” will be established. From conceptual planning to execution, the event will emphasize its unique characteristics and distinct identity as an investment-focused exhibition. Focusing on capital investment promotion, industrial investment promotion, and platform-based investment promotion, CIFIT seeks to establish a coordinated “financial capital + industrial collaboration” mechanism. Supported by practical activities such as roadshows and matchmaking events, it aims to offer practical settings for deeper interaction and effective project negotiations.

This year's CIFIT is clearly centered on the theme “Invest in China”, with a strong emphasis on financial investment. During CIFIT, leading international investment firms, major domestic stock exchanges, financial industry associations, funds, securities companies, investment banks, commercial banks, insurance companies, and high-quality listed companies will be invited to host a series of events aimed at promoting the efficient integration of financial capital with the real economy.

To highlight the main theme of “two-way investment promotion”, the organizing committee will focus on international investment hotspots and emerging industry trends, hosting a series of investment promotion activities featuring cutting-edge topics, abundant resources, and pragmatic content. For example, in response to the growing interest in investment cooperation within emerging sectors, this year's CIFIT will spotlight global investment trends and new opportunities, with particular emphasis on green development, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and other emerging fields. The aim is to build a broader platform for international collaboration in these industries and to elevate investment cooperation to a higher level.

In addition, this year's CIFIT will release several authoritative reports in the field of international investment, including the World Investment Report 2025 (Chinese Edition), the Statistical Bulletin of FDI in China 2025, and the Report on Foreign Investment in China 2025, providing professional public service resources to facilitate international investment cooperation.
