The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently unveiled the first batch of outstanding smart factory projects, with 12 initiatives from Fujian making the list.

According to the Notice on the Implementation of the 2024 Smart Factory Progressive Cultivation Action, the selected projects from Fujian include: Ningde New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.'s "Consumer Lithium-Ion Battery Smart Factory with Full-Process Collaboration", Quanzhou Kemu Intelligent Kitchen and Bathroom Co., Ltd.'s "Smart Toilet Dark Factory", Budweiser Xuejin Brewery Co., Ltd.'s "Green Low-Carbon Smart Brewery", Zhangzhou Leedarson Lighting Co., Ltd.'s "LED Lighting Global Supply Chain Collaborative Smart Factory", Fujian Liangci Technology Co., Ltd.'s "Sanitary Ceramics Smart Factory Based on Equipment Networking and Remote Control", Fujian Sangang Minguang Co., Ltd.'s "Integrated Smart Factory for Steel Smelting and Rolling", Fujian Sanbao Steel Co., Ltd.'s "All-Domain Smart Factory for Specialty Steel Refining and Rolling", Fujian Jinjiang Huayu Weaving Co., Ltd.'s "Warp Knitting and Weaving Lean Management Smart Factory", Xiamen Intretech Inc.'s "Digital and Intelligent Management Smart Factory for the Full Lifecycle of Consumer Electronics", AU Optronics (Xiamen) Co., Ltd.'s "Display Device Smart Factory Based on 5G+AI", Xiamen Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd.'s "Low Temperature Polysilicon Display Smart Factory Empowered by Big Data", and Xiamen ABB Low Voltage Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd.'s "Full-Process and All-Element Collaborative Smart Factory for Low Voltage Electricals".

Last October, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with five other departments, launched the 2024 Smart Factory Progressive Development Initiative. This initiative aims to establish a tiered cultivation system for smart factories, categorized into four levels: Basic, Advanced, Excellent, and Leading. The Implementation Plan for the Progressive Cultivation of Smart Factories suggests selecting and developing top-tier smart factories, encouraging advanced-level smart factories to comprehensively integrate and optimize all manufacturing processes to achieve excellence. The construction of an outstanding intelligent factory primarily encompasses areas such as factory building, research and design, production operations, production management, and operational management.
