Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the sixth batch of national industrial design centers, with 10 new ones added in Fujian Province. As of now, Fujian Province has a total of 35 national industrial design centers, ranking fourth in China after Shandong (56), Guangdong (47), and Zhejiang (44).

The 10 newly added national industrial design centers in Fujian are as follows: Since Tech (Fujian) Technology Co., Ltd. Green Textile Vamp Design Center, Zhangzhou Oriental Intelligent Instrument Co., Ltd. Intelligent Test Instrument Industrial Design Innovation Center, Xtep (China) Co., Ltd. Industrial Design Center, Anta (China) Co., Ltd. Industrial Design Center, Fujian Huafeng New Material Co., Ltd. Textile Design and Creative Center, OGAWA Intelligent Health Technology Group Co., Ltd. Fitness Massage Rehabilitation Equipment Design Center, Xiamen R&T Plumbing Technology Technology Co., Ltd. Industrial Design Center, Kelong Data Co., Ltd. Industrial Design Center, Xiamen Yealink Network Technology Co., Ltd. Audio-Visual Communication Intelligent Terminal Industrial Design Center, and Xiamen Leelen Technology Co., Ltd. Industrial Design Center.

National industrial design centers are enterprises or industrial design companies recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. They exhibit strong innovative capabilities, distinctive features, standardized management, and outstanding performance. The certification is conducted every two years to guide companies in emphasizing design innovation and providing support for the strategic transformation and upgrade of industries.

In recent years, Fujian Province has actively promoted the industrial design to empower high-quality industrial development. Through organizing series of industrial design competitions such as “China·Straits”, “Egret Cup”, “Straits Cup”, “Longjiang Cup”, “Mazu Cup”, “Wiliwill Cup” and “Zhang Sanfeng Cup”, Fujian Province has strengthened product design in the manufacturing industry, and boosted the transformation of achievements into practical applications. On this foundation, Fujian closely focuses on advancing new industrialization development, explores the potential of industrial design, fosters the development of industrial design entities, establishes connection platforms, offers better public services, and introduces high-quality design resources from Taiwan to promote cross-strait collaborative innovation, thus enhancing manufacturing design capabilities and core competitiveness, and contributing to the high-quality development of Fujian’s manufacturing industry.
