The main forum of the China Chemical Industry Park Forum was held in Huian, Quanzhou on October 26, 2023. At the forum, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation released the comprehensive evaluation results of the high-quality development of chemical industrial parks in 2023. Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park, Quanhui Petrochemical Industrial Park, and Zhangzhou Gulei Port Economic Development Zone, three parks in Fujian Province, were rated as “2023 Chemical Industry Parks with High-Quality Development”.

Yang Ting, Secretary-General of the Petrochemical Park Working Committee of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, pointed out in an analysis report that the Committee had conducted investigations on the chemical parks voluntarily participating in the evaluation, in accordance with the comprehensive evaluation system for chemical industry parks with high-quality development. Overall, these chemical industry parks have shown three characteristics. First, they have a strong industrial foundation and great profitability. Second, they use land in an intensive way, supported by well-developed infrastructure. Third, they emphasize energy conservation, emission reduction, and green ecological development.
