Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued the Notice on the Release of the List of Characteristic Industry Clusters for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in 2023, further promoting the development of characteristic industry clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Among the 100 characteristic industry clusters for SMEs on the list, there are 6 in Fujian Province, ranking fourth in China along with Beijing, Hebei, Jiangsu, and Anhui in terms of the amount of increase.
Fujian’s characteristic industrial clusters for SMEs on the list include the Textile Functional New Materials Industry Cluster in Changle District, Fuzhou City, the Building Materials and Home Furnishing Industry Cluster in Nan’an City, the White Porcelain Industry Cluster in Dehua County, the Fluorine New Materials Industry Cluster in Shaowu City, Emergency Rescue Equipment Industry Cluster in Xinluo District, Longyan City, and Intelligence Smart Urban System Industry Cluster in Siming District, Xiamen City.
Previously, the User-Side New Energy Storage Industry Cluster in Mawei District, Fuzhou City, the Quartz Clock Industry Cluster in Longwen District, Zhangzhou City, the Athletic Footwear Raw and Auxiliary Materials Industry Cluster in Jinjiang City, the Display Module Group and Material Manufacturing Industry Cluster in Wuping County, and the Industrial Robot Industry Cluster in Jimei District, Xiamen City, have been shortlisted for the first batch of characteristic industry clusters for SMEs released last year.
