Industrial parks serve as the “main battleground” for the high-quality development of the real economy. Recently, the CCID Consulting Advanced Manufacturing Research Center under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, releases the rankings of the 2023 advanced manufacturing top 100 parks. Four industrial parks in Fujian Province are included in the list. Among them, Xiamen Torch Development Zone For High Technology Industries makes it into the top 20, ranking 18th; while Fuzhou National High-tech Industrial Development Zone secures a spot within the top 50, ranking 47th. Additionally, Fuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and Quanzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone respectively achieve positions of 62nd and 96th.
It is understood that the assessment of the top 100 advanced manufacturing parks is based on the classification standards for advanced manufacturing industries set by the National Bureau of Statistics. It involves an in-depth research and analysis of 230 national-level economic development zones and 168 national-level high-tech zones. During the process, an assessment model known as “Five Forces” is employed which includes the dimensions of economic strength, innovation potential, integration capacity, industrial concentration, and green power. By applying this model, a scientific and comprehensive assessment is conducted to gauge the overall performance of national-level industrial parks in the field of advanced manufacturing.
