The Ministry of Science and Technology recently released the list of national-level sci-tech enterprise incubators for 2022, with four from Fujian, the highest annual number ever for the province. 

These four newly added national-level sci-tech enterprise incubators are: 

Jinjiang Sanchuang Park Sci-Tech Incubation Base (Sci-Tech Smart Valley, Jinjiang) of Jinjiang County-level City

Oracle (Zhangzhou) Technology Talent Entrepreneurship Base of Zhangzhou City

Zhangzhou Yuanshan Entrepreneurship Park of Zhangzhou City

Shared Space Incubator (Fuzhou) of Fuzhou City

As crucial carriers for cultivating small and medium-sized sci-tech enterprises and sci-tech talent, the development of sci-tech incubators has become an important indicator of regional technological innovativeness. In recent years, Fujian Province has revised and issued a series of policy documents, such as the “Ten Measures for Vigorously Promoting Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, the “Circular on the Implementation Plan for Promoting the High-Quality Development of High-Tech Industrial Development Zones”, and the “Administrative Measures of Fujian Province for Sci-Tech Enterprise Incubators.” These policies aim to further enhance the policy and system construction of incubation platforms, fully leverage the exemplary role of high-quality incubators, and promote the high-quality development of sci-tech enterprise incubation.

Driven by these policies, the carriers for enterprise incubation in Fujian have advanced by leaps and bounds, and the number of newly recognized national-level incubation carriers in the province continues to increase. According to data from the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Fujian currently boasts 27 national-level incubators (including two national university sci-tech parks), 72 nationally-registered mass entrepreneurship spaces, and four nationally-registered specialized mass entrepreneurship spaces.
