Fujian Province is accelerating the optimization and upgrading of industrial chains and digital transformation, vigorously developing strategic emerging industries, and building a new development pattern, in order to boost high-quality development.

The strategy is to strengthen, supplement and extend the chains. Currently, Fujian Province is intensifying its efforts to comprehensively enhance the industrial chain around strategic emerging industries. Xiamen City is accelerating the construction of innovation laboratories, and supplementing the talent chain and policy chain for the transformation of research results, so as to further improve the efficiency of transformation. Sanming City is targeting the development needs of industries such as semiconductors, and accelerating the speed and expansion of supporting new materials such as graphene. Quanzhou City is shoring up the deficiencies in the optoelectronic industry chain, carrying out precise investment promotion, and accelerating the settlement and production of supporting enterprises such as LED epitaxial materials.

We are promoting high-quality development in all fronts, and the pace of digital industrialization and industrial digitization in Fujian Province is also accelerating. The whole province is cultivating more than 50 model companies for digital transformation with new business models and forms, as well as over 10 intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories. The digital transformation and upgrading, represented by key industries such as machinery, textiles, footwear, and food, are accelerating.

This year, Fujian Province will focus on building an integrated innovation, industrial, and talent chain. We strive for a year-on-year increase of over 18% in research and development investment in the entire society, and promote the faster transformation of innovation achievements into practical productivity. We will also propel the development and growth of four national-level and 17 provincial-level industrial clusters, which provide important support for high-quality development.
