The investment promotion agency of MOFCOM (China's Ministry of Commerce) held a key projects promotion meeting on Sept 8 during the ongoing 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT).

Investment promotion officials, representatives of Chinese and overseas companies, financial and investment institutions and intermediary organizations participated in the event in both offline and online forms.

According to the organizers, the event was held in a bid to help connect government departments, companies and investment institutions as well as join their efforts to promote the development of key projects.

Shanghai Hirobot's project, Newsight's automobile sensor project, CJ's OliveNetworks project and other projects were promoted at the event.

Li Hongwei, head of Jinan city's investment promotion bureau, gave an overview of Jinan's investment environment, and Zhang Feng, deputy director of Suzhou Industrial Park's investment promotion bureau and director of the Yangtze River Delta Overseas Investment Promotion Center, introduced the innovative development of the Suzhou Industrial Park. The two officials expressed a warm welcome to Chinese and foreign investors.

The launch ceremony of the cross-border industrial investment and technological innovation cooperation committee was also held during the event.

Since its establishment, the investment promotion agency of MOFCOM has been focusing on a two-way investment promotion that gives equal emphasis to both "binging in" (FDI in China) and "going out" (outbound investment).
