On June 10, the New Energy Drive Technology and BRICS Industrial Cooperation Exchange was held in the Conference Room on the 3rd floor of the Consulate Building. At the exchange, Zhongqing (Xiamen) Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement with the team led by Guo Konghui, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The two sides will establish the Academician Workstation for Electrification of Construction Machinery in Xiamen to boost the development of electrification of construction machinery industry in Xiamen.
Co-hosted by Zhongqing (Xiamen) Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. and "Xiamen BRICS+" Technology Accelerator, this exchange aims to promote the cooperation between Xiamen and BRICS countries in the field of electric engineering. Guo Konghui pointed out at the exchange that with the rise of new energy vehicle technology, the international automobile industry had entered a period of rapid change, and the traditional automobile industry was reshaping the whole format and value chain system, so that the transformation of electrification, networking, intelligence and sharing had become the general trend.
He suggested that Xiamen give full play to the advantages of existing automobile resources, and vigorously develop new energy vehicles at the pace of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality". Meantime, Xiamen must take the building of BRICS Innovation Base as an opportunity to actively facilitate the cooperation between Xiamen and China's electric vehicles & construction machinery and international industries including industries in BRICS countries.
Hong Liang, Deputy Director of Xiamen BRICS Office, argued that BRICS countries have a strong demand for new energy industries, and the development of the BRICS Innovation Base project is to identify common interests and closely combine Xiamen's industrial advantages with the actual needs of BRICS countries.
