A few days ago, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province released a white paper entitled The Development and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Zhangzhou City in 2021.
According to the white paper, in 2021, Zhangzhou City approved 31,697 newly registered trademarks, and the total number of valid registered trademarks in Zhangzhou City reached 130,217; 152 valid geographical indications, including 148 geographical indication trademarks, make Zhangzhou City rank first among all cities with divided districts in China.
It is learned that in 2021, Zhangzhou City actively adjusted and staffed the city’s leading group on intellectual property rights to further enhance the synergy of intellectual property work. The leading group participated in the formulation of the Zhangzhou Daffodil Protection Management Measures, which for the first time protects key geographical indications in Zhangzhou in the form of local regulations. To further expand the public service system, Zhangzhou City established a total of 3 IPR public service platform workstations and 4 trademark guidance stations in 2021. 49 new enterprises/times passed the certification of the national intellectual property management system last year. Six provincial intellectual property advantageous enterprises and 23 provincial intellectual property officers are newly added.
