Footwear industry is one of the pillar industries, people's livelihood industries and key "343" industries in Putian City, Fujian Province. In order to promote the multiplication of footwear industry, Putian Bureau of Industry and Information Technology has taken multiple measures to actively help footwear enterprises transform and upgrade. 

Putian City has more than 4,200 shoe-making and supporting enterprises and 307 enterprises above designated size. In 2020, the output value of industrial enterprises above designated size was RMB 96 billion, the output was 1.3 billion pairs, and the tax payment was RMB 1.82 billion, accounting for nearly one third of the city's industrial tax revenue. From January to September this year, the output value of enterprises above designated size in the city's footwear industry was RMB 82.45 billion, with an increase of 13.8%. 

Putian City's footwear industry has complete supporting facilities, exquisite craftsmanship and good industrial ecology, leading or participating in the formulation of 25 national footwear standards, 23 footwear industry standards, 14 local footwear standards and 7 group standards. According to the characteristics of Putian City's footwear industry, Putian Bureau of Industry and Information Technology registered collective trademarks, accelerated brand cultivation in sub-sectors, and built confidence in development. At the same time, Putian City strives to build a modern industrial ecosystem of footwear industry. At present, a total of 156,400 square meters of factories and staff apartments have been renovated in Xianyou County, Licheng District and Chengxiang District, and 39 micro, small and medium-sized shoe enterprises have been introduced to settle in. In addition, Putian City strengthens technological innovation, consolidates and enhances the core competitiveness of footwear industry, severely cracks down on intellectual property violations, rolls out production-oriented "white list" enterprises, improves the linked assistance mechanism, and increases financing assistance to enterprises. 

In the next step, Putian Bureau of Industry and Information Technology will also implement the shoe brand cultivation strategy, promote digital transformation and upgrading, implement intelligent manufacturing and technological transformation, encourage the integration and upgrading of industrialization and informationization, promote normalized and accurate assistance, solve related problems that restrict the development of enterprises, and create a good development environment.
